Apple's iPhones are one of the world's most popular smartphones, and with the news about the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus being released on September of 2016, a lot of people have been wondering about the specs and build of the smartphone. Check out some of the rumors regarding the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus below.
Possibly an Apple A10 chipset
Since Apple's latest, the A9 SoC is currently inside Apple iPhone 6s and 6s, it in expected that the company might put a more advanced and faster chipset, possibly called the Apple 10 SoC. Though it is still quite early to make any specific tidbits about it, some sources have already claimed that Apple will choose Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. as their “primary” partner (TSMC) with regards to the chipset choice for the upcoming Apple iPhone handsets, and will still be a 16nm FinFET, similar to the A9 SoC.
Possibly an increase in RAM, 3gb perhaps
Checking the iPhone line, the first smartphones who received an increase in RAM since iPhone 5 were the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, with 2gb of Ram. Considering that some smartphone users are very particular with phones' RAM, and with modern applications becoming more demanding, jumping from 2gb to 3gb RAM is a very welcome addition that might actually be one of its best selling feature.
Build and design
It should be expected that when it comes to newer phones, manufacturers put effort into making a phone with unique build and design. Well, the 7 and 7 Plus is no exception either. Currently, the 6s and 6s Plus can withstand a long dip in water, thanks to the presence of silicone seals and gaskets that help protect the phone from accidents involving liquids. Therefore, it is more likely for Apple to make the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus watertight for extreme durability. What's more, is that some rumors say that upcoming Apple iPhones will be stronger than 6s and 6s Plus' aluminum build.
In addition, the iPhone 7 is also rumored to be thinner that iPhone 6's 6.9mm, which will mean it will become the thinnest iPhone ever. With a thin design, strong and sturdy waterproof aluminum build, the iPhone 7 will become nothing short of a best-selling phone.
Advanced screen panel
One of the rumored features of the phone include an all new screen panel, which, aside from having a smaller bezel than the current iPhones, will have an ultra-thin glass-on-glass solution that just might fix problems related to lower touch sensitivity near the edges.
